One-Row Knit Laced Scarf

One-Row Knit Laced Scarf

The One-Row Knit Laced Scarf has strips of yarn that is laced, between strips of yarn in garter stitches. This makes the scarf stretchable and light weighted. A One-Row Knit Laced Scarf is excellent for beginnings who are starting to knit. The design is very simple but can look great for a scarf. My One-Row Knit Laced Scarf that I knitted, turned out decent with the purple-yellow fade yarn.

Tools Needed:

  • Any yarn that you prefer to use
  • A pair of knitting needles that is a little bigger than the size recommended for your yarn

Key Appreciation:

  K - knit a stitch
Yo - knit a stitch with a yarn over
K2Tog - knit two stitches together
K4 - do a knit stitch for four stitches

Pattern:

Cast on:

For the One Row Knit Laced Scarf, you want to cast on any number of stitches that is a multiple of 4

Row 1&2:

For the first 2 rows, you want to knit through the 2 rows

Pattern Row:

K4, (Yo, K2Tog, K) Repeat () all the way to the end of the row

Knit the final row and cast off
